  2. Dear Mr. Pradhan,

I am an avid reader of Krishnapriyo Bhattacharjee's books and monographs. He has done a seminal work on the tribes of Duars in this volume which will definitely help to historicize the communuties living in this part of the world. And a heartfelt 'thanks' is also due for you for your in-time posting of the short review of the book in this blog. I would differ a little with Bijoyda on the issue of this posting's timeserving criteria, as, I think, it is a call of the time now to recapitulate the history of these small tribes of Duars every now and then in the context of the recent political fiasco as well as imbroglio created on the issues of the Gorkha/ Rajbongshi idenity and demands of statehood by these much hyped communuties of the region, as their political campaigns are endlessly putting newer threats of double marginalisation to these tribes of sub-Himalayan Bengal.-- Rajadipta Roy, Jalpaiguri.
